Do you want to stay fit during your pregnancy or get fit after having a baby?
Tidewater Performance, a division of Tidewater Physical Therapy, offers personal training for expectant moms and moms who have recently delivered. Sessions will include strengthening exercises and conditioning intervals that are safe during all stages of pregnancy and post delivery.
Research shows that exercise during pregnancy can help reduce back pain and other pregnancy related discomforts. It can also help lift blue moods and energy levels, help avoid unnecessary weight gain, reduce a mother’s risk for gestational diabetes and pregnancy-related high blood pressure. Exercise during pregnancy will provide an easier birth and a faster, more comfortable recovery.
“You wouldn’t want to run a marathon without training,” Danielle Kearns, Performance Coach with Tidewater Performance, said. “And giving birth can be just as physically demanding, but it offers an even bigger reward!”
